Wevioo relinquish their share in Cassiopae MEA, transferring ownership to Sopra Banking Software, a subsidiary of the Sopra Steria Group (Euronext Paris : SOP)
Wevioo, an international consulting and integration systems company, announced today that they have transferred to Sopra Banking Software their shares in Cassiopae MEA, the Franco-Tunisian joint venture created in 2010 in partnership with Cassiopae, world leader in financial software and asset management.
Following Wevioo's disposition, Sopra Banking Software increase from 45 % to 100 % their ownership of Cassiopae MEA, which until now was held jointly with the Wevioo group and Mr Jémil Ben Romdhane, the company's chief executive.
This disposition, formalised in Tunis during the Tunisia 2020 conference and in the presence of Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, Minister for Development, Investment and International Cooperation Fadhel Abdelkefi, Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Selma Elloumi Rekik and the French ambassador to Tunisia Olivier Poivre d’Arvor, consecrates a successful experiment in co-development between the Cassiopae and Wevioo groups.
Their exemplary partnership has permitted Cassiopae to establish its own centre for excellence and expertise in Tunis, with a view to accelerating growth and ensuring its ongoing presence in the African and Middle-Eastern markets. The joint venture has by now fully achieved its set objectives and, in merging with Sopra Banking Software, now turns itself to the launching of a new phase in its development.
